Aga Khan Museum holds some of the memories of Marawi and about Mindanao State University. From the equipment s used for battle fields to fishing, from 'Turugan" to their tribes clothing, from recreational games to musical instruments, from the species lurking under waterof Lake Lanao to what is now part of the endangered species, then to the first President of Mindanao State University to the first Speaker. Marawi holds a great history, knowing this things makes me want to travel back in time and leave with them like no electronics needed but only things for survival. You may learn lots of things and be amaze by their history. Try knowing this Maranao people, you might actually changed your mind that their are not actually bad people they are just the same as us. Also one of the things you see inside the Museum are the wonderful artworks made by Okir club, the art club.

It takes approximately 1 hour and 15/ 20 minutes to arrive in MSU. Welcome to MSU. Image
Got the privilege to be part of the opening of the Greenwhich at Iligan city. Free snack for us.  We savor everybit of this pizza. Overwhelmed to have it for free. We surel took our time to capture its beauty.  The moment we step foot to the domain of the Greenwhich building we couldn't stop ourselves to stop (gets?) and capturea photo of this wall.  Also the interior design of the inside are just so warm to look at. Relaxing, its like you want to take a photo in every corner of store.

Kumantaki

Image
Kumantaki is a Maranao term which means Kain tayo. Isa itong kainan na nasa loob ng MSU main campus. Isa ito sa mga kainan na tinatngkiling ng karamihang estudyante sa MSU. They mainly serve fried chicken, with a special gravy. It totally differs from the other resto that serves fried chicken the reason is that it is not only the skin that has flavor but also the juicy meat inside that you can not surely resis. It complements well with their yellow rice. .

Image
Who wouldn't be curious of what's inside the box be tempted to take a peak? The box already speaks for what might be inside it. So tempting.  Bring yourself into temtation and indulge this sin full of percolating chocolate syrup on top. Who would not dare to steal and take a bite in this Chocolate brownies?        Revel in this brownies and once you had a bite you will surely want to have more.

Aruba fried chicken

Image
Never thought I would come to a conclusion that their mushroom soup is quiet tasty and creamy. It goes pretty well with their rice and fried chicken. It's sweetness blends perfectly to the spicyness of the chicken.  Top- bottom: chicken nuggets with the sauce on the side and Buffalo chicken At first glance I thought it was a frogs leg thank goodness it was chicken wings. They are also tasty and I don't know what else to say about this, I'm totally speechless. Their sauce suits pretty well with this two which it gives more flavor.  Seems like everything is on my plate. The fried chicken is worth to taste.. By the time the manager of Aruba put everything on the table it was like an unlimited of food in front of us. And we can't stop ourselves to dig in.  .. Satisfied..

Pater

Image
A Páter is a popular dish in Marawi City, Philippines mostly in Muslim areas. It consist of Yellow rice and a spicy meat, either beef or chicken, mixed with spices and grated coconut. Every establishments here in Mindanao State University has their own special recipe and each of them have their own unique flavor. A maranao friend of mine told me that if you eat this you should not drink any cold beverages the reason is that it will worsen the spiciness you felt inside you tongue. Maybe this will apply to other spicy dish.
